Primary Pediatrics is a pediatric group practice in Maryland with three convenient locations in Laurel, Bowie, and Silver Spring. We take care of infants, children, and adolescents from birth through 21 years of age. Our group has 9 physicians and 3 pediatric nurse practitioners, and we are affiliated with Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring.

**Current Issues** - For questions regarding H1N1 Flu (Swine Flu), please see our H1N1 page, call the Maryland Influenza hotline at 877.MDFLU4U, or go to the CDC H1N1 website - Current data shows that children younger than 2 years old are 75% safer in a rear-facing car seat than a forward-facing car seat. Children should be kept rear-facing in a convertible toddler seat until they reach the highest weight and height allowed by the manufacturer of the seat for rear-facing. Also, Maryland law requires that children remain in a booster seat until 8 years old unless they are 65 lbs or 4 ft 9 inches tall. - As of March 2, 2009, we are going to have walk-in hours for sick visits in all 3 of our offices Monday through Friday at 8:00 am only. - As of February 2009, our fee for completing forms or writing letters has increased to $10 (unless the form is brought in at your child's well exam, in which case it will be completed for no charge). There is an additional $10 fee for same-day service (the typical turnaround time is 3 business days). - As a courtesy to our patients who are allergic to peanuts, please do not eat any peanuts or peanut-containing products in any of our waiting areas or exams rooms.
