When giving acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil), it is best to use your child's weight in figuring out the correct dose. If your baby is younger than 3 months and has a temperature ≥100.4, please call the office for medical advice. If your baby is younger than 3 months and the temperature is <100.4, do not give any acetaminophen because you need to see if the fever is going to get any higher, and as stated above, if it gets to 100.4 you should call your pediatrician. Do not give ibuprofen to a baby younger than 6 months old.
