Dr. Kasha Otway-James was born in Bronx, New York. She spent most of her childhood in New York, followed by south Florida and Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
After college, Dr. Otway-James worked for one year doing hypertension research at the Morehouse School of Medicine. In 2003, she began medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. After two years, she married, moved to the Washington area, and finished medical school at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed her pediatric residency training at AI Dupont Hosptial for Children in Wilmington, DE.
Dr. Otway-James joined Primary Pediatrics in August 2011.
Dr. Otway-James lives in Severn with her two young boys and her husband Cleve. Dr. Otway-James enjoys traveling and experimenting in the kitchen.
