Virtual Walk-in Clinic

When should I use the virtual walk-in clinic?

The virtual walk-in clinic is designed to provide you 24/7 access to a provider who has access to your medical records and can communicate with your regular doctor. You may use the virtual walk-in clinic for any urgent, non-life threatening medical issues that arise outside of your regularly scheduled visits. If the issue can wait, please call the office or go online to schedule a virtual or in-person visit.

How do I access the virtual walk-in clinic?

Go to our website and click *GET CARE NOW > Immediate Care > Start a Virtual Visit Now* or click here. Your visit will be with a provider from Primary Pediatrics during the hours of 8:00am – 11:00am and 1:30pm – 4:00pm Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 11:00am Saturday and Sunday, and a provider in the Privia network all other times of day.

What if I want to see my usual provider?

If your medical needs can wait until your usual provider is available, please call our office or schedule an appointment online to ensure you will see that person.

What should I do if the office is closed and I or my child has an urgent need?

Call 9-1-1 if it is a life-threatening emergency. Otherwise, call the office to get advice and an appointment can be made virtually if needed, or use the virtual walk-in clinic to have an immediate visit.

Welcome to Primary Pediatrics

Primary Pediatrics welcomes you to our practice.  We are aware that you have a choice in the pediatric care you select.  We provide individualized care based on the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and Centers of Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and welcome open communication in discussing the care of your child.

The physicians and staff of Primary Pediatrics promise to provide the best possible evidence-based care for your child throughout their young lives.  We are available 24 hours a day by phone and our offices are open seven days a week.  When we are not open, there is an on-call doctor available nights, weekends, and holidays for emergencies. If you call our office, you will be connected to our answering service for medical care advice.  Appointments can be made by calling our office or at our website www.primarypedsmd.com.

For your convenience, we offer early morning walk-in hours Monday through Friday, extended evening hours Tuesday through Thursday, and Saturday and Sunday morning hours to take care of your child’s emergent needs.  We can also accommodate several same day sick appointments.  We strongly encourage annual routine health visits.

Immunizations are given based on the AAP and CDC guidelines. There is no alternative vaccine schedule that has been proven to give full immunity to prevent illness and or potential death for  unvaccinated children and those in contact with them.  We firmly believe in the safety of vaccines and will be happy to provide information to help you understand the science behind vaccines.  However, if you have not vaccinated your child and do not plan to do so, we unfortunately cannot accept your family as new patients. We view this is a public health concern, putting our patients, staff and general public at risk of serious, preventable life-threatening illness.

We look forward to serving you. Thank you for choosing Primary Pediatrics.

CHADIS

Primary Pediatrics is pleased to announce a new initiative to help provide your children with the best care available. For all check-ups and developmental/behavior visits, we will be utilizing CHADIS, a web-based screening, diagnostic and management system. Parents, teens, or teachers should complete the questionnaires on-line before the visit, and CHADIS will analyze the results, which will be available at your child’s visit. This is a great resource in assisting us with early diagnosis of developmental, social, emotional, and behavioral issues.

Note: The CHADIS website and system operate with the highest level of security and ALL patient information is completely confidential. Only your health care provider will have access to view your questionnaire.

For more information about CHADIS, please visit www.chadis.com.
