“ I believe it is essential to partner with parents to provide personalized care for each child, as they are each unique and precious. I consider it a privilege to celebrate your child’s milestones and feel honored that I am trusted to provide guidance and support during illnesses or other challenges. My favorite part about being a Primary Care Pediatric NP is developing personal connections with my patients and their families. I always strive to provide comprehensive care, addressing all aspects of health.”

Biography

Lauren grew up in Silver Spring, MD . She earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing at University of Maryland Baltimore in 2009. After graduation she started as an RN at Holy Cross in the maternal child health department. While working there, she discovered a passion for teaching families about caring for their infants and helping with breastfeeding. This led to her becoming an IBCLC and eventually entering into the Advanced Practice Pediatric Nurse Practitioner’s Primary Care Program at University of Maryland, Baltimore.

After graduation in 2014, Lauren moved to Columbia, MD with her husband and has worked for two different primary care pediatric practices. She has over 10 years of combined experience as both an inpatient and outpatient IBCLC and has enjoyed merging that discipline with her advanced nursing practice career in primary care. Lauren worked as a clinical instructor for undergraduate nursing students during her time in her Master’s program, and after graduation has also served as a preceptor for student nurse practitioners and physicians assistants. Lauren currently has 3 children who she adores, and they tend to keep her quite busy while at home.
